We all know that there’s only one thing on a man’s mind, right?
Well according to the UK’s Daily Mail, scientists have discovered some secrets that may help us decipher what he really wants, and apparently the answer lies in his eyes.
They discovered that if your man maintains eye contact for long periods, he could be working out how suitable the two of you will be in a serious relationship.
But if his eyes have trouble focusing on your face and regularly stray to your body then he’s probably just after a bit of slap and tickle.
Researchers at Tokyo University got male and female models to pose in their undies and then asked volunteers to look at images of models from the opposite sex.
They then rated each model's attractiveness both for a long-term relationship, such as marriage and also for a short-term fling.
First they rated separate images of the body and face, before finally seeing and rating pictures showing both.
When looking for a steady relationship, 80 percent of men gave higher scores to images of women's faces than their bodies.
But when it came to a short-term fling the importance of a woman’s body increased, with less than 60 percent giving a higher score to images of women’s faces.
Psychologist Dr Anthony Little said a "friendly, humorous, co-operative pleasant partner - information we all get from faces" was sought when looking for a long-term relationship.
But us girls remained steady being asked to evaluate partners for long-term or short-term relationships made no difference to whether we rated faces or bodies higher.
