Auckland women are being tempted to steal a pair of metallic snakeskin Manolo Blahnik heels worth more than $1200.

But they will need a ladder!

The shoes, which sport killer 115mm heels, are inside a glass box mounted on an advertising billboard several metres above the busy intersection at the bottom of College Hill in the central city.

The billboard is part of a PR stunt by Much Moore Ice Cream designed to test the old adage that women can't be trusted to resist a guilty pleasure.

The company has no idea how long the shoes will stay on the billboard but says any potential thieves will have to make quite an effort to climb up and take the shoes.

The new ice-cream range, Sweet Nothings, is a guilty pleasure women can indulge in, according to Much Moore Ice Cream, as it is 97 per cent fat free and approved by the Heart Foundation.

drove past around 9.50am, saw them and thought OH! They are finally opening a MB store here. lol. Thank God I'm not a size 8 or a MB fan or I'd be kicking myself for the missed opportunity!
Didn't take long.
I can't believe they've gone already. I would LOVE a pair of Manolos. Please repeat this stunt so I can get the next ones!
My wife will surely attempt to bring these shoes down from their high perch. The only fear I have is that they dont fit and the burden will be on me to ensure she gets a pair that do fit !!!
