Miranda Kerr has hit back over claims she has undergone dramatic weight loss.
The 26-year-old Australian supermodel says she has had the same weight for the past "three or four years".
Britain's Daily Mail newspaper earlier said there were health fears for the Victoria's Secret model because of how skinny she appeared during a recent photo shoot for the Australian magazine Grazia, which took place on a Sydney rooftop.
The New York-based model was wearing a black corset and paparazzi photos showed the model's skinny arms and back profile.
The Daily Mail article said Kerr looked "unrecognisable" from the back.
"Miranda's ribs protruded and her skin was tightly stretched across her bony back," the article said.
"Her thin arms also looked extremely sinewy."
However, Kerr responded to the comments telling Grazia, "The exaggerated poses for the shoot have made me appear thinner than normal from behind, but I am the same weight and measurements I have maintained for more than three years," she insisted.
"I am conscious of not only maintaining but promoting a healthy lifestyle and I wouldn't be able to sustain the hectic nature of my modelling commitments if I wasn't 100 per cent committed to feeding my body the food, vitamins and minerals it needs."
"I'm passionate about trying to encourage young women to embrace themselves especially because I am in the fashion world and I really don't want girls to think they have to look like me. I want them to nurture themselves and really be the best they can be."
Kerr, who has been in a long term relationship with British actor Orlando Bloom, responds in detail to the controversy in the latest issue of Grazia.
