Paris Hilton: An aggressive blonde?

It’s not the fiery red heads or the brooding brunettes you need to worry about — apparently blondes are the most aggressive of them all.

A study of 156 US students by the University of California found blondes display the most “warlike" tendencies to get their own way in life.

Why?

Because they rate themselves as prettier than their darker haired peers so “feel more entitled" to have things go their own way.

And look out if you rock a fair-haired feline, because researchers found that the women who believed they are better looking were more likely to respond in an aggressive manner in a conflict than those who rated themselves as less attractive.

And it isn’t just the ladies with naturally light tresses who are the culprits — the study found that bottle blondes took on the same characteristics as natural blondes.

Study leader Aaron Sell said blondes had a lifetime of getting of their own way and being treated like a princess.

“Many blondes exist in a kind of bubble where they have been treated better than other people for so long, they may not even realise they are treated like a princess,” he said.

His research showed the more "special" people felt, judged by physical strength for men and looks for women, the more likely they were to use anger as a means to reach social goals.

But don’t get too wound up by these findings, the research took place in California after all, and we’re sure the ladies of La-la-land have very different characteristics to the ladies of Lower Hutt, no matter what their hair colour.
