Former Baywatch star Nicole Eggert has shot back on weight gain comments.
Actress Nicole Eggert has spoken out against criticisms of her weight gain since her Bay Watch days.
But the 37-year-old, who played Summer Quinn, has chosen to deliver her body image message creatively by donning a red bikini in a tongue-in-cheek video for website 'Funny or Die'.
In the short video clip, Eggert once again took to the beach as a lifeguard. Only this time, the camera zooms in on every curve and 'wobbly' bit as she rushes out to rescue two men who appear to be drowning.
The men change their minds as she approaches, refusing to be saved by her because she's "too fat".
At this point, an infuriated Eggart shouts, "I'm a real woman. And you know, real women gain weight," and walks away from the pranksters.
But a real emergency ensues, and it becomes Eggart's turn to pay back.
The clip, while funny, delivers a serious message that it's ok to embrace our bodies as they are, no matter what shapes and sizes.
Celebrities like Tyra Banks and Man Men beauty Christina Hendricks are inspiring a new size-acceptance movement. And it's good to see other high-profile women jumping on board.
