They say you should never change for anyone — especially a man. But apparently that rule does not apply when your name is Kim Kardashian and you're dating a guy named Kanye West, known for his obsession with high-fashion and style.
You may have noticed that since hooking-up with the rapper/fashion designer, Kim has swapped tight-fitting dresses, bold colours and ample cleavage for neutral shades, fashion-forward pieces and, overall, a more demure look.
The change in Kim's appearance was particularly noticeable last week as she accompanied West to Paris couture fashion week, the new couple walking hand-in-hand from high-end store to runway show front-row and back again.
Of course, there's nothing wrong with a girl's taste changing over time. But the 31-year-old reality TV star's style evolution has been so abrupt it's as if Kanye has a bonfire with all her tights and brights and has made Kim his living, breathing mannequin.
If a girl loves nylon, she should wear nylon, gosh darn it!
As Kim and Kanye hit the 73 day mark in their relationship last week (a day longer than her marriage to Kris Humphries), she told US InStyle magazine how her friendship with Kanye blossomed into something more.
"We know what we are to each other. We've had a deep friendship for so long and that's the start of a really good relationship," she said.
