(Another) Victoria's Secret Photoshop fail

It seems even the world's most beautiful models don't get Victoria's Secret's tick of beauty approval.

A new Facebook ad for the lingerie and swimwear giant has come under fire from fans for featuring a seriously Photoshopped image of one of their models.

More than 2000 Facebook viewers have slammed the campaign that reads, "Calling all beach bums! Find your perfect fit".

In the photo, the model's legs are bowed, her bum is almost non-existent and it appears her waist might have been shaved down, too.

One Facebook user wrote: "Congrats Victoria's Secret for further perpetuating the idea that skinnier is better. That did not need Photoshopping. When will you take a stand that it's ok to be a healthy weight? When will you encourage a healthy body image? No wonder so many women have eating disorders..."

The image has now been taken down from Victoria's Secret's Facebook page.

It's the latest in a long line of airbrushing blunders for the brand. Last year VS model Candice Swanpoel appeared in a Victoria's Secret catalogue image with a bizarrely protruding shoulder muscle on her left side.

What are your thoughts? Does such heavy photo-shopping make you want to boycott the brand?

I actually find this ad funny because of how distorted and unreal it is.I mean you can see those pics have been photoshopped and so you know that the model doesnt look like that.I don't think i would boycott a brand because of them trying to advertise .Models sell things and unfortuneately they just went over the top with fixing.Women just need to know that beauty is a trend and it changes with time. There are many more types of beauty, theyre just not all advertised
That's ridiculous. It's not hot. It's not sexy. It's not a even a real ***. Is it womens' clothing or made for Barbie? Real sexy human men (& the other ones) like real sexy human women, otherwise it's referred to as *** isn't it? I won't by the brand because chances are you won't be getting a real deal with what you pay for. Is it even made with real cotton? Or do they airbrush it on after removing half your legs and your *** so as your left with it permanently like Barbies ingrained undies?
Personally I agree with Emily. These photoshopped images are an unobtainable representation of 'beauty' Obviously the point of this advertising is to make you want to look as good as the picture which can never be achieved in real life. As Lily pointed out these models are beautiful as they are. So why not keep it real?
Photoshopping is something that is so prevalent in advertising right now I don't see why people are making such a big deal over it? And I've seen Candice's pics without photoshop- she has a crazy good waist to hip ratio (One of the very few models I've seen blessed with such proportions. I'm not advocating the obsession with thinness, but it is what sells. People need to just accept it.
You know what would help you? Stop blaming the media for your own lack of self confidence and learn to stop comparing yourself to others. There will always be pictures like this, real or not. Just get over it.
i cant see anything wrong with it , its an add, big drama from a lot of jellous overwieght moaners , get a life an stop bein such a drama queen , id buy it for my girl after seein that an thats what its meant to do sell the item period so just go an crawl back under the rock you crawled out from ,OMG ITS NOT ALL ABOUT YOU ITS THEIR ADD NOT YOURS
When I see magazines with pictures of girls that are slimmer on paper than real life, it makes me sick. I believe I am in good shape for an 18-year-old girl but seeing these is what makes me not feel as confident. What kind of goal are these photos setting for me? What am I supposed to think my 14-year-old neice will think of these? Let's all go starve ourselves girls! Yeah, that's a great idea, so we can look like the pictures that not even the models themselves look like!! Yay!
