Robert Pattinson wants you to stop calling him 'R-Pattz'

Like being stalked by paparazzi and having your face splashed across tabloid magazines, nicknames from the public are just part of the job description when you're a celebrity.

But Robert Pattinson, who has affectionately been dubbed R-Pattz by his devoted fan base, says he wants to "strangle" whoever came up with it in the first place. Ouch!

In an interview with the UK's The Guardian newspaper ahead of the release of his latest film Cosmopolis, R-Pattz — sorry, Robert — said he doesn't like the five-letter moniker he's referred to by fans and in the media.

Based on the novel of the same name by Don DeLillo, Pattinson plays Eric Packer, a billionaire who finds himself on a path of self-destruction in New York City after bad news on the stock market.
