Ever thought your man must be totally blind for not noticing the plucking, painting, tanning and waxing undertaken to make yourself look gorgeous?

A recent study has confirmed our vainest fears — two thirds of men have no idea the lengths their partner goes to look her best.

The study showed most guys are completely oblivious to the beauty routine their other half goes through on a daily basis.

Eyebrow plucking, fake-tanning and leg waxing are just some of the things that go unnoticed.

The study found 28 per cent of men are also unaware their partner regularly plucks hairs from their chin, paint their toe-nails or file their nails.

One in 20 females even said their man has never seen them looking 100 per cent au naturale.

The study, by Jolen Creme Bleaching, gathered the research by looking at the daily habits of 3000 women.

A spokeswoman said no girl wanted to admit how much effort they went to in order to look good.

And it's not just blokes that girls are fooling — we also like our friends to think we are 'effortlessly chic'.

Two thirds of women said they denied using beauty products or fake enhancers when a friend complimented them on their looks.

The poll also revealed that every year the average woman spends almost 10 days preening herself.

nothing wrong with natural...I don't ever wear make-up unless its to a school ball which happened once a year lol. (I'm now 22) All I do maybe once a week is pluck my eyebrows and shave my legs, and clip my nails (i don't even file) and once in a blue moon i'll put on some nail polish...i take pride in how i look, but i dont takes hours a day to look my best...an easy 30mins to shower, brush my teeth and getting my hair to sit how i want it too is all it takes, and before i leave the house i throw on a bit of lip gloss, simple, yet effective, and i dont get all obessed about it like i know alot of girls nowadays do, its pathetic really.
Yes, that i can say it proudly. whats wrong with the way we women look. i wake up in front of my hubby everyday without makeup and i put on make in front of him. i don't see what the problem is, with women these days. im 21 yrs old and and i'm confident. the length people go thru just to get the perfection look. its amazing. what happens when u're sick and can't get out of bed, wht do u do then, tell him to look away or tell him go away. people should be proud, anywayz makeup only destorys ur body. a little is ok but too much NO. chemicals on ur face
